PASTOR MITCH FISHER. Center Baptist Church was organized in 1888 with eighteen people present, meeting at the Center School which was located about 1/2 mile south of the present location. Over the last 100 plus years, Center has provided a place of worship for the people of Greene, Dade, and Lawrence counties. The most current renovation and addition completed in 2001, included a larger sanctuary, expanded fellowship area, and more classrooms. Along with the added space, the renovation preserved a worshipful atmosphere that links it to its' heritage, while allowing the congregation access to modern technology. We have activities for all ages and would love to see you.
